Born from a love of American cuisine and a yearning for authentic Southern Fried Chicken, Wing Shack came into being in 2017 when two good mates with no formal background in food decided to try their hand at offering the food they loved (and couldn’t find) from a small marque at several of Sydney’s vibrant outdoor markets.
From Moore Park to Rozelle, Rozelle to Chatswood and Chatswood to Blacktown and beyond, Wing Shack spent it’s early days wooing and wowing customers in diverse regions of Sydney.
In 2018 Wing Shack took the plunge and settled into its first (humble) brick and mortar shop in Sydney’s Parklea Markets. There its founders refined their craft, increased their offerings, teamed up with delivery services and began to cement themselves as a local go-to for Southern Fried Chicken.
In 2019 Wing Shack moved to its current premises at 178 Sunnyholt Road, Kings Park, further expanding its menu to include burgers and wraps. It soon became known as institution for Fried Chicken in Sydney’s competitive food scene with many reviewers praising its chicken burgers as some of the best, if not the best in Australia.
Despite how far its come in a short time, Wing Shack is only at the beginning of its journey, with the best yet to come!
